<p><strong>For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord</strong>” (verse 23). If we serve sin, we get wages — something we deserve: shame and death. But if we serve God, we get eternal life as a gift, something we didn't deserve.</p>
